Patch FAQs

More info about our patches

Our patches are manufactured on a 3M medical-grade, hypoallergenic, long-wearing, tape that won't fray.

Our patches are printed and produced in Western Australia.

We ship worldwide but do have distributors in other countries, so you can check here if there is a distributor near you so you can receive your patches faster.

Use soap and water or an alcohol wipe to clean your skin and then dry thoroughly.

Avoid touching the adhesive.

Smooth down the tape and then gently rub all edges to warm it up which activates the adhesive.

Keep your patch dry for as long as possible after applying it.

(Also, the less hair the better when selecting a secure location for your device!)

Luckily most of our patches have split backing tape!

Peel off one half of the backing, carefully position the exposed tape against your device and then press onto your skin.

Slowly peel away the remaining backing tape before smoothing the patch out, gently pressing it onto your skin.

Apply a thin layer of solid or sprayed antiperspirant deodorant to the skin, wait 10 minutes and wipe away the excess before inserting your device.

Make sure your skin is dry and free from any creams or lotions before applying your patch.

You can also try using a film, tape or liquid barrier. There are various barrier products on the market.

We recommend that you leave a hole in the middle of the film or spray so that your cannula can still be inserted easily.

Try putting on a hydrocolloid bandage on the skin before inserting your device.

Please have a look at our Patch Shapes page to see the different kinds of patches and their sizes.

Our patches can be used for any device on the market. We have universal patches that are a complete circle and will protect most devices.
